Subject: How do I take care of wool rugs? I have two rugs both are gorgeous but the problem is that they seem to be `shedding' their fibres...there are small balls of fibres....my brother is so fed up that he feels vacuum cleaners are responsible....he has stopped vacumming....he says there has to be a better way....I am desperate....he is suggesting tossing them out......please help...is there a brush or something more sensitive to rugs and especially made to clean rugs? handmade wool rugs |

Rugs are beautiful interior home decoration. We should maintain it properly based on their types. You should make a search in Google. There you will get good tips to protect your rugs. |

Subject: What about backing materials? Sisal rugs, seagrass and mountain grass rugs are backed with non-slip latex. Not only does latex keep area rugs anchored in place, it helps with cleaning. Dirt that gets trapped under a rug can act like sandpaper on your floors. Latex backing traps the dirt so it can easily be vacuumed.Jute backing is used on our wool and sisal blend area rugs, which like latex backing protects floor surfaces. Our bamboo rugs are backed with felt to help hold them in place and to protect the surface from scratching. |

We bought a fluffy rug 4 months ago. Everyday about 100 of those little silk threads get loose and end up all over the house. I would have thought it would stop this after a couple of weeks but it hasn't at all. Ironing Service | Racking and Shelving |

You should vacuum wool rugs 2-3 times per week, at minimum, to remove dirt and excess fuzz that may accumulate on the rug's surface, but you should raise the height of the beater bar on your vacuum to the highest setting for best results. Chris Chris du Toit http://getvanitiesforbathrooms.com |

Caring wool rugs is not that easy. I have seen some people beating the wool rags 5-10 time per day. But it will damage the wool rag. Beating a wool rag out side in the clean weather once a month is acceptable to remove deep stains. Also you could steam the wool rag twice per year using only water. wooden furniture |

We've used our wool rugs for 4 years and it's still good until now ![]() And you can't image that the way we clean them is so simple We just use the detergent with brush to wash them, and then bring them to the roof for dry. You should do this world in Summer 'cause the rug dry quickly. But avoid to dry them under sunshine, put them under a roof Hope it can helpbar stools clearance sale going on now... |
