Subject: What color should I choose to paint over the wall
This apartment has so much character, I love it! The only thing that I don't like is the one wall that is covered in wood paneling (blech). My landlord is allowing me to paint it whatever color I choose. I am looking for a bold, different color that will help to make the room seem larger and brighter as the ceilings in the living room are much lower than the rest of the apartment.

Maybe you should describe your apartment a bit better. E.g. what colors are the the other walls, what color is your furniture and drapes? In that way the users of this forum will get an better impression and you for sure could get way more advices and recommendations.

Hello guys!

I would pick the stain first then decide what colors to paint the walls. Stained wood is such a personal preference I couldn't make suggestions. Your kitchen dining area looks like it is completely separate from the rest of the house so you could go with any wall/decor color you wanted.

If you are looking for bold colours, it'll make the room look smaller. Use subtle colours.

Interior design earnings vary based on employer, number of years with experience, and the reputation of the individual. For residential projects, self-employed interior designers usually earn a per-hour fee plus a percentage of the total cost of furniture, lighting, artwork, and other design elements. For commercial projects, they may charge per-hour fees, or a flat fee for the whole project. The median annual earning for wage and salary interior designers, in the year 2006, was $42,260. The middle 50% earned between $31,830 and $57,230. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $24,270, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $78,760.

The evolution of the kitchen is linked to the invention of the cooking range or stove and the development of water infrastructure capable of supplying water to private homes. Until the 18th century, food was cooked over an open fire. Technical advances in heating food in the 18th and 19th centuries, changed the architecture of the kitchen. Before the advent of modern pipes, water was brought from an outdoor source such as wells, pumps or springs.Homewares

Imagine you're driving by a green field of grass, punctuated by yellow wild flowers. Your eye gets distracted by the yellow flowers and your brain forgets the peaceful green grass. Warm and luminous like sunlight, the right shade of yellow brings cheer to dreary rooms. Some bright yellows, however, cause people pain in interior design. Babies cry more and adults lose their tempers more often when surrounded by bright yellow walls. Small doses of bright yellows added with accessories add punch, catch the eye, and make rooms feel lively.

If your apartment is small and some what dark I would paint it a buttercup yellow. I had a aphotic kitchen already and acclimated the ablaze chicken to lighten the kitchen up and in make so it made the kitchen seem larger.

To make the room look spacious first paint the ceiling with white or any other very light colour.
Choose other light colours (little darker than the ceiling) on three sides. Paint the main wall(which could be opposite the door) with some very bright or dark colour. Such combination will make it look very good and spacious.
